About the Team

Client Centered

I began as a Financial Advisor with Waddell & Reed in 2013. I’ve always had a knack for numbers, setting and achieving goals and communicating with people, and advising has proved to be the good fit that I expected it to be.

I graduated from Colorado Christian University in 2005 with a degree in Social Science and worked with at-risk and troubled youth for the next 5 years. I married in 2007 and our passions led us to a volunteer assignment in Santa Cruz, Bolivia where we lived for a year and a half. Following our return to the States, we became pregnant with our first child and decided to start a new business as a financial advisor.  I researched various brokerage firms but was drawn to Waddell & Reed because of their emphasis on financial planning, not just investing. In 2016, I became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional to help me better serve my clients with their planning needs.

We now have two children and when we’re not providing great financial advising (and sometimes simultaneously) we enjoy gardening, hiking, camping and spending time with extended family.

After 31 years as a high school mathematics teacher in the Colorado mountains, and raising two kids with my husband, I am now a Financial Advisor Assistant at Waddell & Reed. I began my education with a bachelor's degree in mathematics from UNC in Greeley, Colorado. My masters degree is from CU in Denver.

The financial education unit was always my favorite part of teaching, as I find the mathematics of investing so fascinating.  I love helping my own kids with financial planning, and look forward to being a part of investment planning at work.  The great client focused atmosphere at Waddell & Reed is just what I was looking for, where I enjoy my role as Tyler’s assistant. Helping clients with a path to a comfortable retirement, as well as guiding younger adults on budgeting and taxes, is just so rewarding.

Some of my hobbies are spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading, cycling, and gardening. I am also a foodie and love to try new restaurants.

Waddell & Reed is not affiliated with any other entities referenced.  10/19
