I’m a proud native of New Hampshire, but the Colorado mountains and sunshine were calling my name.  I moved here in 2005 and it’s felt like the perfect fit from day one.  My husband and I have two energetic daughters and an even more energetic Goldendoodle.  I’m an avid mountain biker and skier and also enjoy camping, cooking and hiking.

Darin’s passion is people, his purpose is family & community. As a Certified Financial Planner, his mission is to explore, understand and preserve his client’s life values, while inspiring them to live the life they desire & deserve. Money is far from the only thing that defines an individual’s life values, but it tends to play an important role. How we view money and the role money plays in our lives is different for everyone. Many, including himself, struggle or have questions on how money incorporates into our values, dreams and ultimately our life purpose. Darin believes that Financial Planning can be a catalyst towards our life purpose becoming reality. The possibilities are endless!

Darin, his wife Jamie and three daughters have been residents of Colorado since 2008 and Wheat Ridge became home for their family in 2015. Darin received his bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University in 2006, started his Financial Planning practice with the Waddell & Reed team of Golden, CO in 2008 and received the Certified Financial Planner designation in 2016.

Growing up in a small community in Kansas, he developed a passion for community development and enjoys giving back to his local community.

Daryl Christensen

Daryl Christensen focuses on supporting our office advisors so they can help clients address their financial objectives. Over time, they strive to turn clients financial goals into manageable solutions & enable them to take consistent action towards pursuing those goals.

The process begins with the creation of a comprehensive approach that builds upon a client's current financial position then guides them through the various lifecycle phases they will experience in their lifetime. Eventually, these phases involve planning for timing of Social Security benefits, selecting Medicare alternatives, and providing for potential Long Term Care insurance options supporting our clients' quality of life.

Or, the plan may be more targeted such as establishing investment goals and creating a portfolio that reflects a client's investment time horizon and tolerance of risk. This managed wealth accumulation process involves periodic review and re-assessment of risk tolerance.

Daryl pursued a long-term career in the food service industry where he held key management and ownership positions. The experience of owning and operating businesses provides Daryl with insight of challenges encountered by business owners as they plan for their future.

Daryl joined Waddell & Reed in 2004 as a Financial Advisor. He holds the following securities licenses with LPL Financial: Series 6, Series 7, Series 63, Series 66. 

His long held value of service-to-community has led him to contribute in many ways: Member of the Lakewood Kiwanis Club where he has served on the Board of Directors and is a President, member of the Arvada Chamber of Commerce where he has served on the Board of Directors and is a Past Chairman, currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Two Ponds Preservation foundation as President.

Daryl enjoys sharing time with his wife Tammy, their family and friends while enjoying hiking in the mountains, road trips in Colorado, working with horses, and creating new palate pleasers in his smoker.

Drew Morse

I've been working with the WealthClarity team since I moved to Colorado in the summer of 2019. I work in a hybrid role of Office Manager and Advisor Assistant. I schedule wholesaler meetings, manage office logistics, manage the WealthClarity website & social media accounts, while also processing documents, transactions, and working with clients. 

I graduated from the University of Kansas in 2015 with a Bachelors in Psychology and I worked at the Waddell & Reed headquarters in Kansas City from 2017-2019 before moving to Colorado.

In my free time I enjoy music and concerts, reading, walking around the city, going on hikes, and spending time with friends.

After 31 years in the Colorado mountains as a high school mathematics teacher, and raising two kids with my husband Joe, I am now a Client Care Manager at Wealth Clarity. I began my education with a bachelor's degree in mathematics from UNC in Greeley, Colorado. 

The mathematics of finance has always been so fascinating to me.  As a teacher, it was my favorite topic, so it seemed so natural after I retired from teaching, to move into the world of finance.  I now truly understand the importance of the planning component in finance, and how helpful a financial advisor can be in the areas of saving, investing, wealth management, tax savings, insurance advice, the best time for wills and/or trusts, and so much more.  I love the great client-focused atmosphere at Wealth Clarity, where I enjoy my role as Tyler’s assistant.  It is so rewarding helping clients feel comfortable, safe, knowledgeable about their finances, and find their path to a comfortable retirement. 

Some of my hobbies are spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading, cycling, travel, our dogs, and gardening. I am also a foodie and love to try new restaurants!

Lori Simpkins

I am the Operations Manager for Darin Hammerschmidt. I have been his assistant since 2015. I assist with new account openings, account transfers, transactions, Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) and other account maintenance items for our clients.

I am a native of Lakewood and joined the team after 25 years of being self-employed in Art Sales and Custom Picture Framing. I am active in the Lakewood community with several Foundations. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for Lakewood Legacy. I am a graduate of Leadership Jefferson County and a Distinguished Toastmaster for Toastmasters International.

I am the step-mother of 3 and mom of 1 that makes me a grandmother of 7! In my spare time, a rarity, I enjoy cooking, reading and needle art with active time line dancing, gardening and golf.
